【明報專訊】這是豬年賀歲期最應節的影片，妙在以「雙朱」為主角，除了朱八戒一族的小肥豬，還有吐絲結網的蜘蛛。在中國古典名著《西遊記》中，豬精朱八戒固然有趣，盤絲洞的蜘蛛精也十分著名。


不過，《西遊記》的豬精一味搞笑，充滿貪食好色「劣根性」，蜘蛛精更是妖艷的「紅顏禍水」，屬於不道德的邪牌。相比之下，現代西方童話對各種動物更公平愛護，這是無可置疑的。


《莎樂的神奇網網》(Charlotte's Web)改編美國童話名作家E.B. White (1899-1985)的名著，在美國家傳戶曉，一九七三年已曾拍成動畫片。這作家的另一名著，就是近年拍成賣座系列電影的《一家之鼠》(Stuart Little)，真人與動畫小鼠合演。


新版本特技片《莎樂》忠於原著，富於田園風味。對偏於鬧市口味的香港觀眾來說，那種鄉土特色或許有點隔膜，但拍得相當淳樸，對動物充滿善意，拍出小豬與蜘蛛的奇妙緣分。

DARKNESS SETTLED over everything. 

Soon there were only shadows and the noises of the sheep chewing their cuds, and occasionally the rattle of a cow-chain up overhead. 

You can imagine Wilbur's surprise when, out of the darkness, came a small voice he had never heard before. 

It sounded rather thin, but pleasant.
