一直處於要紅不紅狀態的Christina Milian，在2006年發行了她的第三張專輯「So Amazin'」，不料公司只幫他主打了「Say I」後，就不了了之，也在同年的十一月發行了自己的第一張精選輯後，也就結束了和Island Records的關係，後來Christina上雜誌作訪問，說到為何會離開那家公司，沒想到她脫口就指名當紅小天后蕾哈娜，當時蕾哈娜剛出道不久，公司打算把更多的錢全力宣傳她，說到：「It was embarrassing， It was a week after my album 「So Amazin'」 got put out， I would be in my room a lot of the time crying by myself 這非常的令我印象深刻，在我的專輯發行一個禮拜後，我獨自在我的房間哭了很多次」
離開Island Records後，簽給了剛成立不久的廠牌MySpace Records，重新建立自己的音樂，首波單曲「Us Against the World」是一首優美的R&B/Urban Pop的歌曲，是Christina Millian所執筆的歌曲，她說關於這首歌「It's about passion, true love and sticking by someone through thick and thin. Life and love can be a battle and I would like to inspire people with love」大該就像是羅密歐與茱麗葉般的愛情，相愛但也要和為愛奮鬥的精神
目前MV已經曝光，有些片段感覺還真像Leona Lewis的「Bleeding Love」，尤其是那件Bling Bling的水鑽禮服，期待這首歌能夠在告示牌拿取好成績囉！
